About me
Mark Mumford is a system administrator and lead developer for Iron County School District's (ICSD) Technology Department in Cedar City. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in German (with minors in History and Music) from Brigham Young University (BYU) in the year 2000 but quickly found his way into the technology world and worked for Novell and Dell. He then went back to BYU to do some graduate work and became a German teacher at Canyon View High School in Cedar City. He worked part-time in ICSD's Technology Department (on the side while continuing to teach) for several years and then went full-time in technology in the fall of 2012. He is now the leader of the ICSD Technology Department's Student Data Systems Team and enjoys Bash scripting, programming in several other languages, Linux system administration, and making instructional videos about technology for district employees. UPDATE: Mark joined Brigham Young University's Office of Information Technology as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) at the beginning of June.
