Thursday June 12, 2025 8:30am - 9:30am MDT
In this session, we’ll explore the latest research on how AI is currently used in education. We’ll also look ahead to the horizon of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), challenging participants to consider the ethical, technological, and systemic shifts that may be necessary when AGI becomes part of our educational reality.

This session will begin with an overview of recent research and case studies highlighting how AI is currently transforming education—enhancing instruction, supporting learners, and reshaping assessment. Participants will then engage in guided discussion and scenario-based thinking around the potential impact of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in K–12 settings. Together, we’ll explore questions around ethics, equity, policy, technology, and pedagogy to prepare for a future where AGI could influence every aspect of teaching and learning. Attendees will leave with research-informed insights, provocative questions, and practical considerations for navigating both the present and future of AI in education.
